To the One I love...

Here's a layout I did on Canvas for the following challenges...
{Create} - Paint It Colourful: to use Paint on your layout.
UYSC by Yannie: Use 3 stickers & 3 rub-ons on your layout /project.
Pile It On Challenge 28 - Chip Chip: Different uses for chipboard

I did a layout on canvas and I'm happy with paint job on the background! =) I used a mix of paints and mists... Though it took me quite long to achieve the effect I wanted, but it was worth it!

I transferred a laser photocopy of the photo onto the canvas. Also sprayed some mists on the white pom-pom ribbon and flower...

The rest was just embellishing!
Added a variety of stickers and my all-time favourite stash, Robin's Nest Dewdrops!

Using mainly Prima and Basic Grey products on the page. See the swirl with glitter? I altered the Maya Road chipboard swirl with glass glitter and misted it.
Hope you love my canvas!

Waiting for Ramen...

Here's a layout I did for the following challenges:

December Groovie Online Crop which I'm hosting: Use a non-scrapbook related product for masking. If possible, include that product on your layout. If not, do take a photo of the product you used for masking.

UYSC by me : Use at least 3 chipboards and 4 flowers on your layout.

Ed's Weekend Challenge at Laines - 6x12: To create a 6x12 layout.

Pile It On Challenge #26: Use Flowers & Flourishes

Added flowers, chipboards and puffy paint on the edges of the cardstock, flower and chipboards. Love the texture of the puffy paint on the border...

I did some masking with paper clips and added the paper clips to the page. I thought the masking will not turn out good, but it did! So happy with the result. =)

I won the Laines Gallery challenge! :) Can't wait to see what my prize is..

hort park

Here's a page about my recent trip to hort park, inspired by the following challenges:
American Crafts Autumn Week Challenge

Pile It On Challenge 23: Fall - Use a leaf or leaves and combine it with at least one other challenge.
Ed's Weekend Challenge at Laines: To use multiple photos on your layout. It has to be 4 or more photographs.

I decided to do a page full of all the interesting things I saw... I sprayed glimmer mist to the cardstock and inked the edges of the PP.

I used the thickers to form 2 eyes on the cloud chipboard.. =) Doodling was done around some of the photos.

I cut-out a flower from an AC PP and adhered the Flair adhesive badge on it. Did some layering of flowers and leaves.

The edges of the cardstock were distressed and inked.

American Crafts supply:
Tropicals Cardstock (#71249)
Letterbox Postcard Flair (#70050)
Black Nutmeg Chipboard Thickers (#43042)
Everyday Album Kit 8x8 (#90194)

It's a Beautiful Day

Here's what I did for MWL IreneGwen's FABRIC MIXED challenge.
1. Scrap a 'close to nature' 12x12 layout (anything natural.
2. You can only use ONE cardstock and incorporate the rest with FABRIC.
3. You can only use embellishments related to 'close to nature'. Example : Flowers, butterflies, fabric buttons, stitching ... etc.

I started by stitching the fabrics which are also nature related to the cardstock..

I gathered all my nature stash for this layout... Stickers, flowers, felt, chipboard and more! I also looked for stash related to rainbows to go with the rainbow in my photos...

Layered the embellishments to give more texture...

Lastly, the cardstock was glimmer mist and inked around the photos and embellishments.

Love how colourful the page turned out! :) I'm submitting this for Pile It On Challenge #21 - Color Challenge as I have blue, green and yellow on my layout!

family altered display

Here's my take on my own Technique Inspired Challenge 3. i did some layering of masking on the background chipboard...
As I didn't want to cover the chipboard I masked with photos, I decided to place an overlay above it for the photos and embellishments.
Included the masked butterfly I showed in the Technique Inspired Challenge blog entry...
Here's the masked layering I did... Did one layer of masking before the 2nd layer of masking of butterfly. Then I added glossy accent and stickles for texture.

Added some mini chipboard butterflies which i stickled...
Hope you like it and will try out the challenge! A yummy RAK awaits you!

Do also take note that the email to send your entries have been changed to happyscraps[at]ifyouarehappyandyouknow.com . =)

Submitting this altered project for Pile It On Challenge 10. The challenge is not to use PP and combine it with at least 1 other challenge.

especially for audrey altered display

Here's what I did for the UYSC for 1st-15th August. The challenge I came up with is to use your floral stash on your layout.
I made this as a birthday gift for a friend. I know she loves flowers! So I made it as flowery as I could...

I used floral cut-outs, rub-ons, tag, flowers and a floral shaped acrylic for this page... Since this project is all about flowers, i can submit this for Pile It On Challenge 9 which is to use at least 3 flowers on your project.
The acrylic was painted at the back lightly so you can still see through it... Also added some Prima blings and handphone blings on the layout...

I'm happy audrey loves it! :)

My First Peranakan Afternoon

Here's Ed's Sketch for the month of August... The challenge is to use a journaling spot stamp on your layout.
Here's my take on the sketch... I decided to use my Making Memories stash on the layout... I've also combined this with MWL's "Pooi's Pow-wow Embellish Challenge". The challenge is to use a cardstock as a base, and at least 3 different embellishments. The title of the layout must include the word "FIRST" and include a corner dedicated for the journaling of the "FIRST".
Another challenge I'm submitting this for is the Label Tulip's July Challenge which is to scrap the most exciting moment of your life! It is the once in a lifetime (and the FIRST) that I am in a Peranakan attire...
I used buttons, flowers, brads, rub-ons, stickers, PPs and die-cuts on the layout. Wee! I can submit this layout for Pile It On Challenge 9 which is to use at least 3 flowers on your project.

Love how embellished it turned out! :)
This page is to celebrate our friendship and also us having fun in our Peranakan attire! =)
