oh happy day...

Here's a layout I did for a friend and for the following challenges:
UYSC by June= - To use at least 5 different colours in the layout and include the use of scallops edges.
Papierhouse April Challenge: To use the colour Yellow on the layout.
Magistical Memories April Colour Contest: To use the colours of orange, blue & green, buttons and at least one piece of chipboard and/or acrylic.

I used mostly embellishments with the colour yellow on them with a mix of other colours... Added some Sassafras scallop stickers that act as borders on the page...

Did some tearing of the green cardstock which was inked to reveal the prints... Added a cute little badge that I bought from PaperMarket.

Loving how it turned out! =) Happy Colours on a Happy Layout!

More Christmas Cards

Here are more Christmas cards I've done for the Papierhouse November Challenge. Decided to make these cards for Regina and the DTs of Papierhouse. At the same time, I get to use up my old Christmas stash from last year!

Added some puffy paint for texture...

June's card was done with some tearing and inking...

Regina's card with tearing as well, also added some blings to brighten up the card...

Christmas is coming!!

Here are some Christmas projects I did for CardsnScraps... Some cards and altered ornaments chipboard. They are on display at CardsnScraps! Go check them out if you can..=)

These are submitted for the following challenges:
Papierhouse November Challenge: Create cards or gifts for the Christmas season

Magistical Memories Contest : To create holiday projects (holiday cards, tags, layouts or altered projects) and use at least one piece of chipboard or acrylic on the project.
I cut out the star pattern from the pattern and placed it over the cardstock. I then placed a vellum over it which was held down by eyelets.
I also stamped an ornament and stickled all over.

This card was so quick to complete! The PP stood out too much for me to place the sentiment cut-out over it. So the vellum was used to mute the colours and text on the PP...
The rest was just embellishing and stickling!=) This card of mine was featured on the Cards n Scraps email newsletter! wee!

Here are the altered ornaments chipboard. Simple ones which you can hang on your christmas tree.

Eyelets were used to line the border of the chipboard.

Added a sentiment rub-on and doodled with stickles.
Stamped the sentiment on the PP and stickled on it. Didn't manage to wait for the stickles and glossy accent to dry before I take photo. =P will try to get better shots when I get them back.

Added stickles to the embellishments!

Hope these projects have sparked off the Christmas mood in you! =)

Peranakan Queens for A Day

Here's what I did for Papierhouse September Challenge. The challenge is to create a layout that is predominantly green as Ramadan is here.
I combined it with MWL Emeline's Repurpose; Reinvent Sept Challenge.
The challenge is to use at least TWO non scrapbook items on your layout. It has to be items found in your home or office. We are to use it to create embellishments or simply just showcase it on your page.

I used the Maya mist June gave me on the cardstock. Decided to scrap this photo where we attended the class by Kristy...

I knew I just had to add these Peranakan items I had with me! Added the magnet from my cousin and the pencils I bought and gave away to these friends of mine..

The rest was just layering and embellishing! =)

170809 birthday card

Here's a card I did for Papierhouse August Challenge... The challenge is to have a birthday theme and use numbers on the card...

I used some Papierhouse products I received for this card...

The white cardstock was inked and stamped using the Racial Harmony clear stamp... I also re-used the packaging for the ribbons in the Racial Harmony kit. It's the piece on the white cardstock with circles printed on it.
Then I doodled the words using puffy paint... The numbers represent my friend's birthday...

Love how colourful the card turned out! :)

those were the days...

Here's the July 27th Ad for the Ad This Challenge. The twist is all about the title. Using a combo of fonts, stamps and embellishments to make up your title and let the title tell the story of your photos.
Here's my take.. I love how the title is the main focus on the ad. I was inspired by the fonts in the ad and how the different elements form a composition... I tried re-creating it on my layout.

Using various fonts to form the title...

Also used some Papierhouse stash i received to frame the photo...

This page is dedicated to my cousin... hope she likes it! :)

Here's my birthday cake which looks like a whole assortment of sushi!! hehe! don't they look real? :)
Did some doodling on the American Crafts adhesive badge and on the cardstock...

Papierhouse April Challenge

For Papierhouse's April Challenge, since it's Easter, the challenge is to have the colour Yellow on your Layout or Card. Here's what i did, i inked the PP Regina gave me with yellow ink to add texture...
I used some stuffs i got from the MWL crop like the yellow pearls, stamp, and the bird transparency, sheers tag... I added pearls on the transparency to hide the word 'Peace' behind it... Added some yellow stickles on the page too! The stamped image was from I-mei, my new friend who sat beside me at the crop.. And i happen to know her bf from school. I got to know that when i saw her photos hehe! what a small world...
The rest were from my own stash... The sun was a stamped image which i stickled... I decided to matt the sheers tag with that cute Prima PP of clothes hanging to represent a really sunny day! :P Finally scrapped this old photo, it was just sunsational! :)

I decided to make a Easter card just for the fun of it... Submitted this for Label Tulip's March Challenge too.. I used Fancy That tape to hold the PPs together.. Love the see-through effect!
Here's how the inside of the card looks like...
Here's the back of the card... See the see-through effect on the edge of the card?:)
Here are 3 ATCs i did over at Regina's place using her stamps and Fiona's.. I'm loving her stamps!! :)
