Missing the Lovely School Days

Here's what i did for the August DT Assignment with the theme of "What i've learnt" and school themed. I altered the Smash box cover for this DT Assignment.

I started off by placing the Prima stencil over the Smash box for masking with Tim Holtz's Cranberry Adirondack Color Wash.

Next, i used the leftover Prima Coquette Collection Chipboard Alphabets as a stencil to mask the alphabets onto the Smash box and to tie in with school theme.

Here's how it looks after the masking.

Another layer of masking in white was done to create texture with Studio Calico's Calico White Mister Huey's Color Mists.

I also did some misting on the black fabric surface of the Smash box.
 
Loving the faint image created on the fabric.

Clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint was added onto the fabric surface.

Mango Hor Fun

For the month of July, we got to play with Flowers and Blings for PaperMarket DT Assignment. I used a mix of PP flower cut-outs and chipboard flowers on the page to create a border around the photo.

Blings were then added to complete the page. Hope you like the simple page I did.

Live in the moment!

This month's theme is so fun and enjoyable for me because i love to play with bright colours. I altered the Kaiser Craft's Oriental Birdcage for the project with the use of Prima flowers, blings and also bright and cheery Echo Park's Here & Now Collection.
 
Also layered various PP cut-outs and stickers to give dimension. A RAINBOW stamped image and sentiment was added to complete the piece.

Love how the birdcage comes to life with all the splashes of colour! Hope the altered project will inspire you to create!

HEART Rainbow Cards!!

This month at PaperMarket, there is a Rainbow Card trading event going on! Here's what I did with the Rainbow cards i received! Wanna trade? Come by the store and collect your Rainbow cards to trade!!

This is happiness

For this month, we got to play with mist! I did some misting on Simple Stories PP, using The Crafters Workshop's Mini Branches and Mini Wood Grain 6x6 Template. The following 2 colours of Tattered Angels Mist were used: Pop Rocks (Purple) and Its Orange.

I had fun layering the 2 stencils for masking to create texture on the PP. Added some Prima flowers and Webster's Pages - Perfect Bulks to complete the page.

Life Snapshot

For PaperMarket's March DT Assignment, i got to work with Prima's Donna Downey Studios - Poppies Peonies Mask...

And here's what I created with the mask. I misted the background PP and embellished the page with clock rub-ons.

 

Also added Creative Imaginations - Gold Crackle Paint on the edges of the PP...

The page was then layered with various chipboards, frames, wood and metal embellishments.

Hi everyone! How's your CNY been? I enjoyed my holidays in Taiwan. Along with the festive mood, I created a bright and cheery page with washi tapes! Here are the washi tapes I used...


Did some layering and pleating of the washi tapes. Washi tapes were also used to frame the photo.

My favourite use of washi tape on the page is how the washi tapes are semi translucent, revealing the patterns of the PPs behind the tapes.
