Mu - my favourite shop for clothes...

Here's what i did for Project Scrap-Away Challenge 2. The challenge is to create a LO using ONLY {SCRAPS} found around your household, the only scrapbooking supplies allowed will be cardstock + photos! I see this challenge as a challenge in the choice of items used and using doodling to accent the layout.

I decided to create a layout about my favourite shop for clothes. Since this challenge is about using non-scrapbooking items on the layout, I decided to use all that I have collected from this favourite shop of mine. You can see the range of colours of clothes tags which I have collected from the shop.

The other tags were sanded and used to bring out the photo, keychain, privilege card and receipt. To emphasize my love for shopping, I added the keychain and photo. The photo was taken at Changi Airport Terminal 3.. These lighted up shopping bags are so cute! and i finally can use this photo. :)The background is made up of Mu's paper bag where I punched out circles on the 2 sides and doodled a pattern around the circles. Did my journaling on the tags...
The background is made up of black tags where I cut out the logo and pop them up, while some are removed and replaced with mesh to create a different texture on the layout. So here's my Shopping Bag layout! I think it's cool! :)
The twist on the judging was.. that the contestants were the judges. We had to rank all the entries. The one with the most votes win, while the one with the least is eliminated. And guess what i won!! Woohoo! I'm so HAPPY! Here's what was posted on Project Scrap-Away's blog... There was also mention of it on Scrap-n-Crop's newsletter... Let me share the prize i've won.. :)
Frippery is a delightful do-it-yourself line of jewelry kits created by K&Company. Kits include everything you need to make a one-of-a-kind bracelet, necklace, pin or pair of earrings. Choose from the large selection of patterns and letters provided - spell a name, add a monogram, or add your own photo or image. Sounds cool! I can't wait to see what i can come up with it.
I can't wait for the next challenge to be out.. And i hope i can continue to do great in the challenges and go far! wish me luck!
