I decided to participate in Embellished Idol 2009 by Embellished Scrapbook Shoppe. Here's Challenge 1, we are to use this image to inspire our layout.
I was inspired by...
- the colour - red and gold: I used mainly red and a touch of gold on my layout.
- the rolled velvet paper: I used a similar looking PP on my layout.
- the texture of the velvet papers: I created textures using various embellishments and mediums like buttons, robin's nest dewdrops, embroidered brads, stickles and ink.
Added stickles to the thickers and buttons to add dimension...
I love how it turned out.. Loving the reds and that butterfly! :)
