My uncle wanted me to touch up this altered heart shape chipboard I did for him some time back... I incorporated it onto a layout and framed it in a shadow box...

The background was made up of 3 PPs of 8"x8" and 6"x12". Added some cut-outs and PPs to layer the background for more depth...

Added some flowers and bling to complete the page.

Here's a quick project I did for a friend as a birthday gift. I altered the pretty Pink Paislee (Mist).a.bles Wood Shadow Box Frame with mists, ink, PPs and embellishments. Love the colours so much that i wanted to keep it for myself!

Added corrugated cardboard as the background and layered with crumpled PP and PP cut-outs.

Added pretty flowers and sentiment stickers to go with the photos.

Butterflies to complete the page!!

Here's the blue page I created for October's Poppie Pop Blue and Green Class at PaperMarket Raffles City.

The blue page was done with similar techniques to be green page... PPs were crushed and torn for texture.

The background was a die-cut PP with words... Misted the Maya Road doily. Blings were added around the photo.

Ribbons and Flowers used to add final touches to the page.

Remember the last time i shared what I did for October's Poppie Pop Blue and Green Class at PaperMarket Raffles City? Here's the complete layout...

Started off with tearing and crushing PPs for texture.

Then arranging them on the cardstock and inserting the transparency cut-outs wherever i could for layering. The transparencies were then heated till they curl upwards, adding more dimension to the page.

The rest was all about embellishing with ribbons!!

Thank you to those who attended the class. I hope you had as much fun creating the layout as I did. Do try out other colours with your stash to inspire your layouts!! =)

Here's what I did for PaperMarket's November DT Assignment. I had to designed a christmas gift for a guy. I altered Kaiser Craft's 10" wooden frame for this project.

I started off with creating a collage on the background using 7Gypsies Frames Collage Tissues and Tim Holtz's Idea-ology Journeyman Tissue Tape.

I tried to alter the frame with minimal colours; mainly black & white. Other embellishments like PPs, tags and chipboards were added to complete the frame.

I'm loving the various textures created!

Star 1: 5 stars arising - I used 5 star pins and a lot more stars on the background framed by the red twine to emphasize on the 5 stars arising.

Star 2: Bloom - I did some embossing and stamping to portray flowers in bloom, red bottle caps, buttons and eyelets were added for varying textures.

Star 3: Flourish - Loads of flowers and leaves were layered for texture to create a flourishing image.

Star 4: Outshine - I did some layering with the sequin waste and used blings & PaperMarket flowers to outshine the star.

Star 5: Take Flight - I used Graphic45 Curtain Call Collection PPs - Moulin Rouge, The Cinema and added the misted Melissa Frances wings embellishment to portray the star taking flight.

Here's 2 altered projects I did over the weekend using Tim Holtz Idea-ology's Configurations framed box for PaperMarket. I used a range of products by Jenni Bowlin like chipboard buttons, Embellished butterflies, Banner Stickers & Mini Bingo Cards.

Within the box, I used Tim Holtz Idea-ology PP pad cover page to create the background. Didn't want to let the cover page go to waste, when there are so many mini prints on it that I can make use of.

In addition, I got to try out Existencils by Creative Imaginations together with Tattered Angels Mists. The overall results created by the stencils were awesome, the patterns came out sharp! :)
Here's the back of the box where I misted...

The 2nd project was done by attaching the compartments within the framed box in a random manner, but still possible to fit within the framed box.

Here's where I added some Vintage Embellishments by Melissa Frances together with embellishments from Graphic45 & Gltitz Design, and Webster's Pages patterned papers.

Here's what I did for PaperMarket for the month of May. The assignment was to create a colourful page.

I stitched the background cardstock using WRMK's Seweasy stitch piercer together with Seweasy floss.

I used Prima's packaging to matt the photos. I layered the Basic Grey PPs together with Basic Grey's Bloomers & chipboards. Also did a mix with Prima blings and flowers.

Here's what I did over the weekend, my take on the Cupcake Stand tutorial & challenge by Jade Moore at Artz de Scrap for the month of May...

I covered the cake bases with PPs and lined the edges with PPs and layered stickers...

Between the 2 cake bases is a styrofoam cup (from my McDonald's Big Breakfast I had that morning) which i gesso-ed..:)

I had fun layering the pretty stickers!

Still seems a little bare to me, I might just add on more Prima flowers!! :P

Here's a no-photo page I did for Big Picture's Creative Crop Challenge 6: Think Outside The Box. The challenge is to to THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX and push the boundaries…of our pages.

The objective was to stay away from a 12x12 base for the layout. I created the base of the layout out of various cut-outs from different Sassafras patterned papers.

I created this page using mists and a mix of old and new stash... Also added some milk bottle caps received from Jenni Bowlin's Re-purpose, Re-think, Re-invent at Big Picture.

My first try to scrapping about a moment that was not captured on photos...

Here's what I did for Big Picture's Creative Crop Challenge 4: Use Wood or Wood Grain... The challenge is to use wood or wood grain on a scrapbook page or project.
I stitched on some of Maya Road's wooden buttons onto the page...

The photo matt was done for Big Picture's Creative Crop Challenge 5: Create a Photo Mat with Two Supplies. This photo matt is actually a scrap piece of chicken rice paper that I misted on... Love the incidental patterns and 'mess' created by the misting.

Also added a Melissa Frances Vintage Applique Frame. The frame was misted to add some colour and texture...

Here's the Paper Secrets April Sketch Challenge. The sketch courtesy of Pencil Lines... The little twist with this challenge is to use the sketch and include some sort of celebration theme. Submissions can be a layout or card.

I love the simplicity of the sketch! That I just had to create a page with it... I cut out the strips of PPs and layered them over another PP with torn edges...

The edges of the photo was distressed to tie in with the PPs... Just to highlight, the photograph is originally blur, but i wanted to capture the action so I just had to use it... So glad to know that i've won the challenge! :)

Here's my take on the HappyScraps Technique Inspired Challenge 8. I wanted to create a page inspired by flowers and butterflies... So I made used of my floral and butterflies stencils from The Crafter's Workshop to create the layered misting... Love the effect created with the layering of different mists colours... The rest was all about embellishing on the Prima Paintables PP... Can't wait to do more of these!! =)

Here's what I did for PaperMarket for the month of March using Sassafras new range of PPs - Ellie's Tale and Starters... I love how the die-cuts are so easy to use to create dimension on your layouts! Spotted the little arrows on the die-cuts? They show you how to fold the die-cuts to give the 3rd dimension to your layouts.

All you need to do is to add glue dots or foam dots behind them! =)

Layered the flowers with a bunch of other Sassafras embellishments. A good mix of old and new! :)

Here's what I did for the following challenges:
Paper Secrets March Technique Challenge: The challenge is to use stencils with mists or inks. HappyScraps Technique Inspired Challenge 8: The challenge is to do some layered misting on your layout.
I did some misting with the colours blue and purple to create the additional 2 hearts on the canvas...

Did some stamping of sentiment on the canvas and added loads of American Crafts stickers...

Here's a page I did over the weekend for the following challenges: - Paper Secrets March Scraplift Challenge: To scraplift a layout in the gallery. http://paper-secrets.blogspot.com/2011/03/thanks-for-lift.html - My Creative Scrapbook March Mixed Media Challenge: To play with mixed media on your layout. Have you spotted the metal embellishment I created earlier on? :) I'm loving the texture created with the use of mists on my backgound of the layout. The base is actually a piece of scrap - chicken rice paper! I've been keeping a few of these scraps which I do misting on.. The patterns created by the mists are incidental and yet so textured! I just love the effects! I gathered loads of stash I've been hoarding (a mix of old and new) and decided to use them all on the page... Love how the laptop sticker creates a see-through effect to the various layers below... Here's a project I did over the weekend... I used the metal embellishment I got from PaperMarket as a base for this project. I started off by adding Tim Holtz tissue tape, then covering it up with glossy accent.

Next, I added Martha Stewart's Microbeads, Robin's Nest dew drops and Prima's crochet flower. Also added stamped images and stickles everywhere!

I'm loving the textures!! Guess where I'm gonna use this project of mine?

Here's what I did for
- PaperMarket's March 2011 assignment: To use items given from CHA to create a layout. I got to work with My Mind's Eye buttons!
- Graphic Inspired Challenge 8: To use the image to inspire me to create a layout.

I was inspired by the image where the characters were inserted into the photo to create an interesting composition. So how i interpreted the challenge was to insert cut-outs from My Mind's Eye Alphabet Soup cards into the layout.

These cut-outs were used to form the title of the page...

The frame around the word 'wish' was cut out from the packaging of My Mind's Eye buttons.

Everything used are from My Mind's Eye (except for the thickers)! :)

Have you checked out February's Tutorial and Challenge at Artz de Scrap? I'm sharing a tutorial on how I created this handmade album I learnt some time back...

I decided to take out some stash I've been hoarding to create this album... Stash from Webster's Pages, Prima and Tim Holtz Idea-ology. I also wanted to try out my new stash: The Crafter's Workshop 6"x6" stencils!! Love how they turned out on the pages...

I used corrugated cardboards as a base for the pages. Then added cardstocks for the "pop-up" pages. Some PP cut-outs to form a frame round the pages...

Sentiments for the pages... I decided to use up these sentiments without any photos, much faster to use up my stash! :P

Some yummy antique keys to go with the antique masking!!

For this 2nd layout I did for PaperMarket in the month of February, I created a frame round all the sentiments and added on the PaperMarket Prima blooms to give dimension.

For the month of February, I got to work with the new Limited Edition PaperMarket Blooms!! I did some misting on the background PP with The Crafter's Workshop template... Also added a Hambly overlay which I heated till it curled...

Some misting here and there and layering of embellishments... And the no-photo layout is done! :)

Here are the projects I did for PaperMarket this month... With the Love theme in mind, i kept to the colours pink, red and brown on my projects...

We were given these Love Handles suitcase to work with. I decided to work with loads of buttons!

Gathering all the love theme products I got from PaperMarket Raffles City...

Did some pleating with tape at the bottom...

Also added cut-outs from Prima swirls packaging... So glad to know that someone loves my altered suitcase! :)

I had fun stamping and embossing on the tags...

i love STICKY jar!

Here's what I did for PaperMarket in the month of January... I had to alter this STICKY jar and I decided to use the STICKY candies and lollies to alter the jar!!

I love STICKY!! Embellished the jar with some punch-out hearts and tapes...

Added some roses to form a heart shape with a STICKY in the middle...

What I love about STICKY candies are the colours they come in!! Have you checked out how these candies are made? I was so amazed when I saw the process on their website. Way cool! Go check it out!

2011 Calendar

Here's what I did for PaperMarket this December... I altered a 2011 calendar into my very own...

Some close-ups of the textures... Spotted the black laptop sticker I used?? They are just so pretty!

Added a transparency which can flap open...

A calendar which I got printed out from a website.

The transparency was embossed using various colours of embossing powder and overlaid above the calendar.
Embellishments were then added for more depth.

Here's a blue blue page I did... a follow-up from the yellow page... Gathered everything that I saw that was blue to add to the page!

I started off by doing some layered misting on the background. The doily pattern is from a Prima flower packaging...

After the misting, I added some tapes and also blue cardstock alpha stickers to create a pattern on the background...

Added a mini bag on the page, used to store my other polaroid photos...

There's the photos!! Loving how it turned out. Do you? What colour should I try next.... hmm...

I had to create a layout with the word "THICK" and a photo of me on it... Since the word "thick" reminds me of Thickers, I decided to do a page just about the huge amount of thickers i have...:P

With the variety of colours and textures in Thickers, I thought it would be nice to create a page filled with difference textures and colours to portray the theme...

Created layers with ribbons, border stickers, blings and a series of floral embellishments...

Here's what I did for the following challenges:
Technique Inspired Challenge 7: To do some Embossing on your layout / project.
UYSC by Esma: To incorporate stickers, 2 type of mists and 3 types of stamps on our page.

I decided to create a yellow themed page for this challenge...

Did some stamping and embossing on transparency...

Misting and masking with 2 colours on the background cardstock. The buttons were whitewashed and placed behind the transparency...

Then it was all about embellishing the page with flowers and more!

Here's the Ed's Sketch for the month of December... The challenge is to use any kind of Transportation Stamp with this sketch.

Thinking of transportation stamps, I decided to do a page with photos I took on the airplane to Bangkok with my Holga...

I stamped a scooter onto the chipboard tag for the title...

I took this chance to use up the many transportation themed embellishments that I have! :P

The rest was just about filling up the page with border stickers and buttons!

Added my airplane tickets too!!

I saw this cute metal swing that I just had to get it... I wanted to create a pretty display with it...

Using the new range of mists from Maya Road and Studio Calico to alter the container. All available at Papermarket Raffles City! I love especially the white mist from Studio Calico, feels like I'm making snow while misting! =P

I also re-used the plastic backing from the Prima flowers packaging. Too pretty to throw them away!

Here's what I did for Laines Christmas Make & Take held from 15th - 19th November... I was assigned to create a door hanging using the materials given...

I got to play with some Christmas themed PPs, tapes, ribbons, pins and clear stamps... Punched out loads of flowers and layered them.

Pleated some tapes around the stamped sentiment...

More tape inside the bottle cap as a flower centre...

I crumpled brown cardstock to create a trunk at the bottom of the door hanging... Hope those who had gone for the Make & Take enjoyed making it! =)

Here's what I've been working on for Laines.... Did these ornaments for display at the store. Go check them out and probably make some for your home this Christmas!

Ornament 1 - Using a couple of cut-outs from Basic Grey's Jovial collection of PPs & stickers and Prima flowers to embellish the glass ornament.

Love how the embossing powder crystals stick to the inner side of the ornament after I misted it....

Ornament 2 - Using Basic Grey's Jovial collection of PPs & doilies. I used Prima's Build-A-Book as a base for this ornament / tag.

The papers were given a tinge of glitter using Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam - Golden Goddess...

Ornament 3 - Added 3 glass ornaments below this tag which were embellished with Vintage netting by Websters Pages...

Totally love how the embossing powders stick to the inner side of the ornaments after I misted them...

Ornament 4 - This last ornament features what I want for Christmas... A HOLIDAY!! What's your Christmas wish?

Added a vintage frame from Melissa Frances which I misted over the photo...
The back of this ornament was embellished with punched out snowflakes to line the circle chipboard...

Here's what I did for HappyScraps Graphic Inspired Challenge 7. I was inspired by the colours of the image. I altered a wedding album cover for a friend to display during their wedding dinner...

I misted some Pink Paislee Artisan Elements red...

Added a combination of red flowers which I inked... Hope they'll like it! =)

Here's what I did for the following challenges:
UYSC by me: To use at least 5 chipboards and 5 buttons on your layout / project.
Ed's Sketch - November: To use your Flower Stamps with this sketch.

Here's my take on the challenges... I inked the background cardstock to reveal the trees on it.

Didn't use any flower stamps. Instead I added loads of chipboard flowers and flower stickers.

Also added a fabric from American Crafts and Prima packaging...

I embellished a Prima tag with Sassafras chipboard stickers and Prima flowers...

Here's the back of the tag... Added blings and distressed the edges of the tag with ink...

Here's what I did for UYSC by Edleen, to use 3 or more Flowers on your layout.

Using mainly Basic Grey's Wander chipboard stickers and Pops layered stickers to create a border around the photo.

And loads of Prima flowers!!

Have you checked out Artz de Scrap's October Tutorial? We invited Sophia Allison to be our October Inspirational Scrapper. She shared with us a Photo Tree Tutorial and here's my take on it...

I did this tree with photos of my mum for her birthday, using wires to hold them up on the tree...

The photos were punched out and adhered with dictionary pages on the back. A simple project for all to try out! Enjoy!

Using mainly Prima and K&Co flower embellishments...

Did some inking and misting to the Maya Road chipboard album and added a series of masking tapes for texture.

Misted the buttons and flowers...

robots invasion!

Here's what i did for Ed's Sketch - October. The challenge is to use the sketch and your monsters stash on the layout. As I couldn't find my monsters stash, I used robots stash instead...

The background cardstock was misted to add texture. Added a cut-out from the packaging of my robots thumbdrive...

Also added some gear tapes, chipboards and metal embellishments to layer the page.

Altered Mirror

Added some Tattered Angels transparent tags on the mirror.

Added some flowers which i misted and butterflies to complete the whole altered mirror.
